Dealbaz doesn't ask who you are and doesn't build a profile of you. There is no login, no newsletter, no comment box and no tracking. What follows describes the small amount of data that still moves around whenever any website loads in a browser, because we'd rather be specific than just say “we value your privacy”.
1. What we don't collect
To be concrete, Dealbaz has:
- no user accounts, no login and no newsletter sign-up;
- no analytics of any kind — no Google Analytics, no page-view or click tracking, no session recording;
- no advertising, retargeting or social media pixels;
- no cookies of our own, and nothing stored in your browser's local storage.
Nothing on the site asks you to type personal information into it, because there is no form to type it into. We have no personal data to sell or share, which settles that question fairly quickly.
Vendors submit their deals through a separate system, submit.dealbaz.com, which has its own accounts and its own data handling. This policy covers dealbaz.com only.
2. Server logs
Dealbaz is hosted on Vercel. Like every web host, Vercel records standard request logs: IP address, the URL requested, a timestamp, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. This is how a web server works rather than a choice we've made — the logs exist to deliver pages and to diagnose faults and abuse.
We don't use those logs to identify individual visitors, and we don't combine them with anything else. Their retention and handling are governed by Vercel's privacy policy.
3. Content from other servers
Two parts of each page are fetched by your browser from a server that isn't ours. In both cases that request necessarily reveals your IP address and user-agent to the server answering it — that's unavoidable for any externally hosted asset, and worth naming rather than glossing over:
- Fonts. The Plus Jakarta Sans typeface is loaded from Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com), so Google's privacy policy applies to that request. - Deal images. Product images are served from
submit.dealbaz.com, our own vendor submission system.
We don't send either of them any information about you beyond what your browser includes automatically.
4. Links to vendor sites
When you follow a deal link you leave Dealbaz for a site we don't control. We don't attach tracking parameters that would identify you, and we don't receive any report of what you do once you arrive. From that point the vendor's own privacy policy governs — including any cookies, analytics or advertising they run.
6. Children
Dealbaz is a software deals directory intended for a general adult audience. It isn't directed at children, and since we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from them either.
7. Your rights
Data protection laws such as the GDPR give you the right to access, correct, export or erase personal data held about you. Because we hold none beyond the transient server logs described above, there is normally nothing for us to export or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, contact us and we'll check properly.
8. Changes to this policy
If we ever add analytics, a newsletter, an account system or anything else that changes the picture above, we'll update this page and its “last updated” date before switching it on — not afterwards.
